you guys are lucky, i didn't actually buy this, the nice folks over at Costco were giving out samples (dont you just love free samples, for some reason, everything tastes better when it free, eh?). i think they prepared it nicely, in their little portable toaster/oven. i love the crispness of the crust, it wasnt so chewy, which i guess is a good thing. BUT....it was extremely garlicy, and i love garlic so it must have been overhaul. it smelled fantastic but a little too much garlic for a pizza. Tanya over at Iateapie seemed to agree with me about the garlic issue, saying "They mention garlic more than once, which should tell you something about this pizza without you even trying it - it has a strong galic aroma when it is being prepared and that garlic smell lingers in the room and on your breath!". Yep, if your dracula, this pizza might kill ya. but its pretty impressive nutrtionaly with only 290 calories per pizza, but do think ill actually shell out on this, maybe on other lean cuisine pizzas, but ill leave this to fend off dracula.
How was (you American folks') Thanksgiving? well to take a break from Turkey, i though i'd tackle turkey, and specifically, one that can be made in the microwave in no time! So i tried Lean Cuisine's Herb Roasted Chicken. Lean cuisine gives this description: "An herb roasted marinated chicken breast topped with a creamy basil, garlic and mushroom sauce. Accompanied by roasted redskin potatoes, broccoli and red bell peppers, in a savory sauce." But this is MY decription: a tasty, but rather small, slab of roasted, flavorful chicken in a lovely sauce. Accompanied by yummy potatoes, some gree thing that resembles broccoli but is really a green sponge filled with water, and yucky, gummy bell peppers. The cool thing is this meal only has 3.5 grams of fat, and 180 calories. BUT i suggest omitting the patheitic veggies (maybe leave the potatoes, those weren't too bad) and add you own freshly steamed ones. Its a nice break from turkey but still lean. Some of us may have gorged this thanksgiving but ya know, this is the holiday meant for it so if not now when, right? o and by the way, i realize my spelling is nowhere near perfect, but realize i dont always spell check cause i write these things in a hurry (cause as much as i'd love to blog all day, i have a life to attened to) and dont proof-read these reviews like i do for my newspaper articles (although i get PAID for those and i am used to copy editors just fixing my little glitches). So, i am sorry if there are boat loads of mispellings but i try my hardest.
