alrighty, halloween is creeping (once again, pun intended) upon us and that means most of us will be hanging around a crap load of candy, chocolate, and in my case, drunk college students. Anywho, i cant do much about the wasted students but i have some info about candy that wont cause you to be scarred to even think about fitting into your skinny jeans.
Now, you could NOT buy candy to hand out to trick or treaters and offer some other alternative (i had a high school friend who's dad was a dentist and they handed out tooth brushes!) but i think that kids are kids only once and they'll probably throw out those apples or coins you hand out. So i suggest giving em what they want, candy!
The cool thing about halloween is that the fun size packs give you somewhat more control so you dont end up devouring the whole bag. so heres my top picks:
-sugar daddy junior pop (53 calories, 1 gram fat)
-1 fun size box of junior mints (I LUV THESE!) (60 calories, 1 gram fat)
-7 SNACK SIZED (not the big cups) reeses peanut butter cups, (90 calories, 6 grams of fat)
-1 fun sized Butterfinger (100 calories, 3.5 grams of fat)
-1 Charms Blow Pop (70 calories, 0 grams fat)
-1 fun sized milky way (90 calories, 3.5 grams fat)
yes, there are sugar free versions, but i wouldnt hand those out, kids dont need them and they'll never visit your house again. And, most sugar free versions arent that much better and taste kinda off. Savor halloween by enjoying vitamin packed pumkin, enjoying the daylights savings (hells yea, on more hour of sleep!), giving out treats to kids, and giving out left over candy to local food banks so you dont end up eating them out of guilt of throwing away food. Happy halloween!
