Kettle's Pretzel Bakes!

Pretzles are fairly simple snacks, but actually, when you think about the different kinds, they are very complex. Some people prefer the tiny ones, some people like them in nuggets, or giant hard ones, heavily/lightly/unsalted, soft, etc. Generally, they are indeed low fat but high in carbohydrates which can make them very calorific if your not careful (cause these too tend to be very addicting).  Now Kettle's is known for their chips, but i guess they tried their hand at pretzles and made these pretzle bakes that are basically chip-shaped preztles.  I am not sure if these are supposed to be a healthier alternative to their chips but their baked chips are pretty good already.  Anyhow, each 1 oz serving (no idea how many that is but i will try to find out) is 120 calories, 1 g fat, 3 g protein, and 1 g fiber. Not a very nutritious food but way better than fried potato chips and doritos.  You'd think these would taste like your average rold gold hard pretzle, right? well, um no.  These are thicker, and so much so that they were harder to munch on and gave me the feeling that they might be stale which is impossible since i ate one right after opening the bag.  I usually find pretzles to be too salty most of the time, but in these case, some salt couldnt have hurt.  At Dietdetective.com they raved about the honey dijon kind in their "calorie bargain" section so maybe i'd give those a chance. But in general, i prefer those huge dutch pretzles they sell at the union square market in nyc (when i lived there, i'd go to the market just for those pretzles cause the produce was usually mucho expensive).
